Everyone needs support

At the Center for Recovery and Wellness Resources (CRWR), our clinical services are designed to provide comprehensive and specialized care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Our offerings include Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder and alcoholism, ensuring that participants receive the medical support and structured therapy necessary for effective recovery. With the expertise of our on-staff psychiatrist, we are able to prescribe and manage the necessary medications to support each individual’s treatment plan. Our clinical services are grounded in evidence-based practices, offering a holistic approach to recovery that addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction.

Supportive Outpatient (SOP)

At the Center for Recovery and Wellness Resources (CRWR), we offer Supportive Outpatient Programs (SOP) tailored for individuals who have successfully completed previous treatment programs and maintained sobriety for some time, but seek ongoing support to sustain their recovery journey. These programs provide a structured yet flexible environment where participants can continue to develop and reinforce the skills necessary for long-term sobriety. SOP is ideal for those who need continued guidance and accountability to navigate the challenges of everyday life while maintaining their commitment to recovery. Our compassionate and experienced team is dedicated to helping participants build upon their progress and achieve lasting wellness.

Through our Supportive Outpatient Programs, participants gain a variety of essential skills that support their ongoing recovery and personal development. These skills are designed to help individuals manage their mental health, improve their interpersonal relationships, and remain accountable for their sobriety. By focusing on practical strategies and self-assessment techniques, SOP equips participants with the tools they need to anticipate and address potential challenges proactively. This ongoing support fosters a strong foundation for a healthy, fulfilling life in recovery.

    • Education about mental health treatment options

    • Practical skills to manage problematic behaviors and painful feelings that inhibit progress

    • Improved self-assessment skills to anticipate problems and learn healthy alternatives

    • Enhanced interpersonal functioning

    • Accountability for recovery progress

At the Center for Recovery and Wellness Resources (CRWR), our Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) serve as a crucial step in the continuum of care for individuals in early recovery. Often used as a step-down approach following Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) or residential treatment, IOPs provide a structured and supportive environment that helps participants transition back into their daily lives while maintaining a focus on their recovery. These programs are particularly important for those in early recovery, as they offer a balance of intensive therapeutic support and the flexibility to fulfill personal and professional responsibilities. By participating in IOP, individuals can continue to receive the guidance and resources necessary to solidify their sobriety and build a strong foundation for long-term recovery.

Intensive Outpatient Programs at CRWR are designed to address the complex needs of individuals recovering from substance use disorders. Participants engage in a variety of therapeutic activities, including group therapy, individual counseling, and educational sessions, which equip them with the tools needed to manage their recovery effectively. The consistent support and accountability provided in IOP help individuals develop healthy coping strategies, improve their emotional regulation, and enhance their interpersonal skills. This comprehensive approach not only supports sustained sobriety but also fosters personal growth and resilience, which are critical for navigating the challenges of early recovery.

MOUD Services

Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), also known as Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), is a comprehensive approach to treating opioid addiction. This treatment combines FDA-approved medications such as methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone with counseling and behavioral therapies to address the complex needs of individuals struggling with opioid use disorder. The primary goal of MOUD is to stabilize brain chemistry, block the euphoric effects of opioids, relieve physiological cravings, and normalize body functions without the negative effects of the abused drug (National Association of Counties) (National Institute on Drug Abuse).

The benefits of MOUD are substantial and well-documented. Research shows that MOUD significantly reduces opioid use and associated symptoms, lowers the risk of infectious disease transmission, and decreases criminal behavior linked to drug use. It also enhances the likelihood of staying in treatment, which is crucial for sustained recovery. Patients receiving MOUD are more likely to engage in and benefit from counseling and support services, leading to better overall health outcomes, higher employment rates, and reduced overdose mortality (National Association of Counties) (Washington State Health Care Authority). By incorporating MOUD into our services, we offer a proven pathway to recovery, helping individuals regain control of their lives and work towards a healthier, more stable future.

  • - Reduces Opioid Use and Symptoms: MOUD helps stabilize brain chemistry, reducing the urge to use opioids and managing withdrawal symptoms effectively

    - Lowers Risk of Overdose: By reducing opioid use and cravings, MOUD significantly lowers the risk of fatal overdoses

    - Enhances Treatment Retention: Patients receiving MOUD are more likely to remain engaged in treatment programs, which is crucial for long-term recovery success

    - Improves Physical and Mental Health: MOUD supports overall health improvement, leading to better physical and mental well-being.

    - Decreases Criminal Behavior: By stabilizing patients and reducing opioid dependency, MOUD helps lower the incidence of drug-related criminal activities.

    - Reduces Infectious Disease Transmission: MOUD decreases the risk of HIV and hepatitis C transmission by reducing behaviors associated with drug use, such as needle sharing

    - Supports Employment and Social Stability: Individuals on MOUD are more likely to gain and maintain employment, contributing to social and economic stability

    - Promotes Engagement in Counseling: MOUD enhances the effectiveness of counseling and behavioral therapies, providing a comprehensive approach to recovery

General Services

At the Center for Recovery and Wellness Resources, we offer a variety of programs to support individuals in their journey toward recovery, including DWI Education, the Texas Drug Offender Education Program (TDOEP), and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) evaluations. These programs are essential components of a comprehensive approach to substance use recovery and rehabilitation.

  • Our DWI Education program is essential for individuals who have been convicted of driving while intoxicated in Texas. This state-mandated course aims to educate participants on the dangers of impaired driving and the legal consequences of such actions. It also provides tools and strategies to prevent future offenses, ultimately helping individuals regain their driving privileges and make safer decisions.

  • The Texas Drug Offender Education Program (TDOEP) is designed for individuals convicted of drug-related offenses. This program focuses on increasing awareness of the consequences of drug use, understanding the legal and personal ramifications, and promoting behavior change to prevent future offenses. The TDOEP is a court-ordered program that often serves as a condition for probation or parole, helping participants to reintegrate into the community with a better understanding of how to avoid substance abuse and criminal activities (Texas Drug Education House) (Education Resource of Texas).

  • CRWR provides Substance Use Disorder (SUD) evaluations to assess the severity of an individual's substance use issues and to determine the most appropriate treatment plan. These evaluations are conducted by experienced professionals who can recommend specific programs and resources tailored to each participant's needs, ensuring a comprehensive approach to recovery.
